Traveling?

Before you travel internationally, please advise VISA® of your plans.

Effective April 4, 2008 when you use your Visa® check card and the merchant settles in currency other than the U.S. dollar, the charge will be converted to the U.S. dollar amount. The conversion rate that will be used to compute the transaction amount to U.S. dollars is either:

A rate selected by Visa® from the range of rates available in wholesale currency markets for the applicable central processing date, which rate may vary from the rate Visa® itself receives, or
The government-mandated rate in effect for the applicable central processing date,
In each instance, plus 1%.

The 1% adjustment applies to all international transactions regardless of whether there is a currency conversion associated with the transaction.

When you use your Visa® Debit Card involving an international transaction (in-person or an internet transaction), a fee of .8% will be assessed to your transaction amount even if there is no currency conversion.

A .50 cent service charge is deducted from the same account that your withdrawal is made from when used at an ATM machine other than those listed below. The charges are accrued and deducted at month end from the account in which the transaction occurred. Click on the ATM icon at the top of this page for a listing of service charge free ATM's
