Regular Share Accounts

Depositing $25.00 into a regular share account is all that it takes to become a member and take advantage of all that your credit union has to offer. The $25.00 is not a fee! It is the minimum balance required to maintain membership in the credit union and represents your ownership in the credit union.

A regular share account can be used to put money away for college, save for future projects, cover unexpected expenses, or just to save for a rainy day. While you are saving money, you are earning dividends . Regular share accounts earn dividends on balances of $100.00 or more and the dividends are posted to the account at the end of each quarter.

If you are taking advantage of our great share draft (checking) program, your regular share account can act as overdraft protection* in some instances provided that there is enough funds in your share account to cover the item and there has not been more than six electronic transfers from your share account in the same month. There is a $3.00 transfer fee for each instance. *For true overdraft protection a Line of Credit/Overdraft Protection Loan is available.

Special Share Accounts

Sometimes it’s helpful to have more than one savings account. Special share accounts have a variety of applications. Some members like to use them as an escrow account for yearly property taxes; others use them to save for a specific future purchase. What could you use a special share account for?

Special share accounts require no minimum balance and earn dividends just like the regular share account. Dividends are posted to this account at the end of each quarter.
