Share Certificates




Most people know them as �Certificate of Deposits.� We prefer to call them �Share Certificates,� but no matter what you want to call them, certificates are a great way to safely earn higher dividends. Depending on your saving preference, share certificates are available from as short as six months to as long as four years. Dividends are paid at the end of the quarter and at maturity. Share certificates do require a minimum balance of $1,000.00 and early withdrawal penalties may apply. See Early Withdrawal Penalty Schedule at the bottom of this page for more information. Opening a share certificate is easy! 1. Just tell us how much you want to deposit to the account. 2. Then, tell us which term best fits your needs. That�s it, your certificate is done! What happens at maturity? Just before maturity, we will send you a notice. If you wish to make changes to your share certificate, just let us know what you would like to change. If you do not want to make any changes, do nothing. Your certificate will automatically renew for the new rate offered at that time. How good are the share certificate rates? Just click on the Rates button at the bottom of this page and see for yourself. A penalty may be imposed for withdrawals made before maturity. For certificates with term periods of six months, the penalty is equal to 30 days worth of interest. For certificates with term periods of one year, the penalty is equal to 90 days worth of interest. For certificates with term periods of 18 months-4 years, the penalty is equal to 180 days worth of interest.
